Founded behind a barn in 1977 by Jake Burton Carpenter, Burton quickly gained respect among the snowboarders and became one of the most preferred brands. Burton has changed the fate of snowboarding with the quality of its snowboards and eye-catching designs and has helped make it a much more popular sport.
Burton, which currently produces in Burlington, Vermont, the city where it was founded, has never left the brand's roots and its philosophy of the first day. Burton has managed to use this traditionalism as a driving force in innovation, and with their research and development efforts, they have worked to make snowboard and complementary equipment more efficient.
Burton Snowboards collaborates with successful snowboarders, engineers, and leading names in the world of snowboarding in the design and development of snowboards. The brand ambassadors, called The Burton Team, continuously provide feedback on products and enable the development of better snowboards.
With the information obtained, research and development works are carried out at the 10,000 square-foot Prototype Facility equipped with the latest technology machines, and both mass production models and custom designs are revealed.
