Luxury Homes for Sale in Aspen, Colorado
REAL ESTATE - LISTING
by Taner Korkmaz
Aspen's first golden age was the Colorado Silver Boom period, which started in 1879, and ended with the fall of silver prices in the Panic of 1893. Then it remained a quiet town for half a century. The establishment of a ski resort in the Aspen Mountains and the famous industrialist Walter Paepcke's dedication to Aspen changed the town's fate. Aspen began to become popular again after the 1950s, and the three institutes, two of which were founded with the help of Walter Paepcke, helped the town to regain its former glory.
Although the population residing in Aspen has never exceeded 7500, the presence of the ski resort in winter and the popularity of other outdoor activities for the rest of the year ensure that the town is always more crowded and vivid. Aspen, which has become one of the most favorite resting and winter holiday locations of celebrities and wealthy people as of the end of the 20th century, has occupied a position like the Alps in Europe. Wheeler Opera House, Elks building, Hotel Jerome building, Pitkin County Courthouse are some of the most prominent and reflective structures of the town.
The excessive increase in demand has led to a steady increase in house prices in Aspen, where there are a limited number of houses. When this situation became more evident in recent years, newly developed house projects were seen as the solution to this process. However, in Aspen, where the land is also valuable, it seems that the newly developed real estate projects have moved the general house prices a little higher due to their position in the luxury real estate class and their impressive design and dimensions, rather than balancing the prices.
Aspen, where houses with contemporary design lines are built one after another in addition to ski resort style house designs, is one of the most popular locations of the luxury real estate market. We brought together some of the luxury homes for sale in Aspen and listed them for you. Whether you want to stay just in the winter or enjoy tranquility all year round, Aspen is one of the most beautiful towns in the US.
Please note that all of the listing prices are in USD.
