The Subaru Crosstrek Desert Racer Confirms Another Season of Off-road Racing

Subaru of America, partnered with Grabowski Brothers Racing and Crawford Performance, head into 2018 with their Unlimited Class 5 car. Six confirmed races are on the schedule, including the first of the year this coming weekend: the Polaris RZR Mint 400.

The 2017 Season was merely a test; improvements to the car have prepared the team for their first 2018 race with confident enthusiasm. This car is one of a kind and spearheading a new arena for Subaru to dominate.

Subaru's marketing manager, Rob Weir, shares the team's enthusiasm. "We were pretty excited the first time we saw the project. Most of our focus is either in stage rally or rallycross, or maybe hill climb events. For us to get out of our comfort zone and represent a new form of motorsport was fun and challenging."

Official 2018 Schedule:

March 7-11: Polaris RZR Mint 400 - Primm, Nevada

May 30 - June 3: Baja 500 - Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico

August 15-18: General Tire Vegas to Reno - Las Vegas, Nevada

September 29: PCI Race Radios 300 - Lucerne Valley, California

November 14-18: Baja 1000 - Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico

December 7-9: McKenzie's Rage at the River - Laughlin, Nevada
