Ascent Gains Nationwide Distribution at Whole Foods Market

In-store events in Madison, Wisconsin, and Austin, Texas, highlight launch of the sports nutrition brand in 400 stores nationwide

Ascent, a sports nutrition company committed to providing cleaner and purer protein to athletes, announces national distribution at Whole Foods Market. Ascent Native Fuel™ Whey Protein and Ascent Pre-Workout will be available at more than 400 Whole Foods locations nationwide starting August 1, 2018. To highlight the Whole Foods launch, Ascent will host in-store events in markets across the U.S. in August and September, including a special in-store workout with CrossFit Games athletes Katrin Davidsdottir and Brent Fikowski in Austin, Texas, on September 8.

Launched in 2016, Ascent offers a full line of products that support clean eating, hard-working athletes dedicated to their nutritional goals. Ascent is committed to using real food ingredients, no artificial flavors or sweeteners, and is designed to improve muscle health and performance for the health-conscious consumer. Whole Foods will carry Ascent's Native Fuel™ Whey Protein Powder, as well as Ascent Pre-Workout Clean Energy and Hydration Fuel at over 400 locations nationwide in a variety of flavors and package sizes.

Our partnership with Whole Foods allows them to find their favorite protein product, on their terms, while doing all of their weekly shopping," says Paul Vraciu, general manager of Ascent Protein.

The following Ascent products are available in Whole Foods nationwide:

  • Ascent Native Fuel™ Whey Protein Powder Two-pound bags and 15-count single serving packets in Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Cappuccino and Lemon Sorbet flavors
  • Ascent Pre-Workout Clean Energy and Hydration Fuel Thirty-serving bags and 15-count single serving packets in Raspberry Lemonade and Watermelon flavors

Ascent will host product tasting demos, promotions and other events at select Whole Foods Markets in August and September. These activations kick off in conjunction with the CrossFit Games, with an in-store demo at Whole Foods in Madison, Wisconsin, August 1–3.

Additionally, Ascent has limited space available for a special workout with Katrin Davidsdottir, two-time "Fittest Woman on Earth," and Brent Fikowski, second place finisher at the 2017 CrossFit games, on September 8 at the Whole Foods Market flagship store in Austin. Davidsdottir and Fikowski will host a 25-minute partner workout on the plaza level at the Downtown Austin Whole Foods, followed by a meet and greet and product demo.
