New Zalando outlet to open in the heart of Hamburg

Zalando is about to open a new outlet store at Poststrasse 9, just around the corner from the Grosse Bleichen, in Hamburg on August 30. The store, situated in the immediate vicinity of Jungfernstieg, is the fifth Zalando outlet in Germany. On more than 1,200 square meters, Hamburg customers will find around 15,000 products from 500 different designers – high street names and Zalando’s own brands – discounted up to 70 percent.

Zalando outlets offer high-quality fashion that can no longer be sold online, for reasons that include limited sizes still available in the online store or minor defects.

Selected owners of the Zalando Outlet Card can already discover the store today and secure items from the broad assortment. Dorothee Schönfeld, Managing Director of the Zalando outlet, is looking forward to welcoming customers in Hamburg: "We are happy to be able to offer the Zalando world to Hamburg customers at a much lower price. Our outlets are perfectly suited to get in direct contact with our customers and to constantly improve our offer.”

As in the other outlets, Zalando relies on a modern and pleasant shopping atmosphere for its Hamburg outlet. For this purpose, Zalando once again collaborated with the design and architecture office Design in Architektur, which also designed the Cologne store and won the German Design Award 2018. The Hamburg outlet offers wide hallways, free Wi-Fi and a lounge area with sockets so that customers can charge their mobile phones while shopping. For local Hamburg flavor, the walls in the outlet were designed with bricks in the style of the Speicherstadt.
