Marriott International has a portfolio of 130 luxury hotels in ten countries in the Asia Pacific region. Marriott plans to realize growth plans with 13 new hotels that will open in 2019 under the brands of JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and The Luxury Collection.
Marriott International invites visitors to discover the most beautiful places in the Asia Pacific. The Ritz-Carlton will open four new hotels in the Asia Pacific region as the first important step of its growth plans. The Ritz-Carlton will celebrate its return to Australia with the opening of Ritz-Carlton, Perth in October. The Ritz-Carlton will strengthen its presence in China and India with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an in June. Then The Ritz-Carlton, Pune will be opened in September, and The Ritz-Carlton, Nanjing in October.
With five new hotel openings, JW Marriott will take its place in this growth plan. JW Marriott Hotel Qufu was the first step in the process. The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong will open its doors to guests in July.
The Luxury Collection started to open its new hotels in January 2019. IRAPH SUI in Okinawa, and two new hotels in Nanning, China, and Kolkata, India are the newest parts of The Luxury Collection. Designed by André Fu and opened in April 2019, The St. Regis Hong Kong is another contribution of St. Regis to Marriott International's Asia Pacific expansion plan. Marriott International has been expanding its portfolio to provide services to all regions, as it has since its inception.
