It is observed that the demand for cruises, which fell in the first period of the pandemic, has increased recently with the stretching of the measures. The interest and demand for North American river cruising has increased as American and Canadian families consider vacation options closer to home rather than international travel.
St. Lawrence Cruise Lines is an operator that has experienced this boom in demand. Having completed all cruise plans for 2022 with full occupancy, the company announced that it has started taking reservations for 2023.
Serving with a vessel named Canadian Empress, St. Lawrence Cruise Lines aims to create a COVID-free environment by requiring all passengers and crew to be vaccinated and rapid-tested before boarding the vessel throughout the 2022 season.
With 32 staterooms offering river views, Canadian Empress welcomes guests who prefer a smaller and less crowded environment rather than traveling on large and crowded ships.
Company officials stated that they will pay great attention to health and safety measures in the next part of the season, as they have done so far, and they will focus on ensuring that guests have a comfortable trip in a healthy environment.
