Sourcemap's supply chain transparency solution will track and independently verify the process of all precious materials used in Breitling Super Chronomat Automatic 38 Origins from raw material form to finished product.
Watchmakers work with thousands of different suppliers to source the gold and diamonds they use in their products, and they have to rely on these suppliers to ensure that these raw materials are obtained under legal and ethical conditions. By collaborating with Sourcemap, Breitling will activate a tracking and transparency process that extends to the very edge of the supply chain, and both Breitling and Breitling users will be able to trace the origin of any precious material used in their products.
Over 100,000 luxury goods industry suppliers are registered on Sourcemap's supply chain tracking platform. With the collaboration between Breitling and Sourcemap, the entire raw material supply chain of the new Super Chronomat Automatic 38 Origins will be tracked.
Breitling assures its customers that the new Super Chronomat Automatic 38 Origins is produced using gold sustainably sourced from a single mine and lab-grown diamonds from an accredited supplier. Breitling's customers will be able to use the blockchain-backed NFT accompanying the new Super Chronomat Origins to monitor the chain of custody on the system provided by Sourcemap.
